Missions

FBC Hazard is committed to praying for missions, giving to missions, and providing opportunities for its members to go on mission trips.

As part of the Southern Baptist Convention, we participate in supporting missions both in North America and internationally by our monthly giving to the Cooperative Program. The Cooperative Program is a giving mechanism that brings together approximately 45,000 Southern Baptist churches together in a joint effort to send and support those who are called out and trained to be career missionaries. FBC Hazard currently gives 10% of its general budget giving to the Cooperative Program each month.

The diagram below shows how FBC does all of its regular, monthly missions giving from its general budget.

In September FBC has an annual missions month, dedicated to praying for missions and learning about missions.  It is our desire that this month always rekindles our desire to be part of getting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. The highlight of our missions month is our annual missions offering. The offering is divided according to the chart below.

We received our offering on the last Sunday of September.
